The Lag Tromantane 200 range once again combines solid Red Cedar tops and Mahogany back and sides for rich and articulate tones. Our French Satin finish makes for an incredibly comfortable playing experience, while allowing the guitar's top to resonate freely. Premier StudioLag Plus electronics and Nanoflex® pickups are used in the T200 to ensure clear, natural amplification.

A note from the owner on why I like this guitar so much:  The 200 solid cedar top and mahogany back and sides are a classic combination.  What I really love about this is the playability and comfort of an auditorium size without sacrificing tone.  Whether I am plugged in at a show or playing around the campfire this guitar this guitar sounds full and rich.  I prefer phosphor bronze 12-53 strings as a bit more low-end frequencies are present in comparison to 80/20 strings.  I have a pair of T200ACE's I gig with - 1 in standard tuning and another for alternate tunings, usually Open E.  Another benefit of the auditorium size I've noticed is less feedback in the monitors.  That is not to say I don't have the low-end I'm looking for, I do.  I just don't have the feedback.  A customer made the pickguard for me from burled rosewood.  I use that one for alternate tunings.  My other one is still all original.  I will gladly put this guitar up against a Taylor - Taylor makes great guitars ... so does Lag.
